Tahoe Rim Trail
A long, mostly runnable climb in California. The hardest 500 metres average 14.3% and start 2.3 km in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. Northeast-facing: morning sun only, and snow lingers into spring. Most runners need 53 to 89 minutes. At 2.3 TEP it sits in the easier half of the catalogue. On the SAC scale it is mountain hiking, with uneven ground that asks for some care.
