Athens-Big Fork North Trail
A short, power-hike climb in Arkansas. The hardest 500 metres average 19.6% and start 327 m in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. South-facing, so it bakes in summer: go early. Most runners need 11 to 18 minutes. At 2.3 TEP it sits in the easier half of the catalogue. On the SAC scale it is mountain hiking, with uneven ground that asks for some care.
