Fossil Ridge Trail
A long, mostly runnable climb in Colorado. The hardest 500 metres average 16.6% and start 1.7 km in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. Southwest-facing: it gets the afternoon heat and clears of snow early. Most runners need 43 to 72 minutes. At 2.7 TEP it sits in the easier half of the catalogue.
