Abe's Trail
A short, run-hike climb above Girdwood in Alaska. The hardest 500 metres average 17.7% and come almost at once, before your legs have settled. Expect 13 to 22 minutes. Its 2.1 TEP puts it in the easier half of the catalogue. It faces south and gets hot in summer, so an early start helps. Graded mountain hiking: rougher ground where footing starts to matter.
