Jacobs Ladder Trail
This very steep climb rises in Utah. Expect 41 to 69 minutes. The hardest 500 metres average 40.6% and start 2.8 km in, so the worst of it lands when you are already committed. Southwest-facing: it gets the afternoon heat and clears of snow early. At 13.0 TEP it is harder than 86% of the climbs in the catalogue. It is graded demanding alpine hiking: exposed scrambling, where a fall would be serious.
