Alpine Way is a short, very steep climb in Idaho. At 3.4 TEP it sits in the easier half of the catalogue. Its steepest 500 metres run at 31.5% and start 314 m in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. Most runners need 9 to 16 minutes. On the SAC scale it is mountain hiking, with uneven ground that asks for some care. Southeast-facing, so it takes the morning sun and clears of snow earlier in spring.
