Col de la Madeleine

Col de la Madeleine is a short, power-hike climb above La Léchère in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. On the SAC scale it is mountain hiking, with uneven ground that asks for some care. Its steepest 500 metres run at 21.9% and come almost at once, before your legs have settled. At 2.4 TEP it sits in the easier half of the catalogue. Expect 9 to 16 minutes. Northeast-facing: morning sun only, and snow lingers into spring.
