GR-240. Etapa 08. Loma del Lastonar-Fuente del Espino
A run-hike climb above Válor in Andalucía. The hardest 500 metres average 21.8% and come almost at once, before your legs have settled. Expect 19 to 32 minutes. Its 2.8 TEP puts it in the easier half of the catalogue. Facing northeast, it loses the sun before midday and keeps its snow into spring. Graded mountain hiking: rougher ground where footing starts to matter.
