A short, power-hike climb in New Mexico. The hardest 500 metres average 18.6% and start 369 m in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. Southwest-facing: it gets the afternoon heat and clears of snow early. Most runners need 12 to 20 minutes. At 2.4 TEP it sits in the easier half of the catalogue. On the SAC scale it is mountain hiking, with uneven ground that asks for some care.
