Sefton Ridge Track
A short, power-hike climb above Ōakura in Taranaki. The hardest 500 metres average 24.5% and start 456 m in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. West-facing: shaded in the morning, in the sun through the afternoon. Most runners need 9 to 15 minutes. At 2.1 TEP it sits in the easier half of the catalogue. Mostly on trail.
