Vaio di Pelegatta

Vaio di Pelegatta is a short, very steep climb above Recoaro Terme in Veneto. At 38.0 TEP it is harder than almost every climb in the catalogue. Its steepest 500 metres run at 56.8% and start 291 m in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. Most runners need 26 to 45 minutes. It is graded demanding alpine hiking: exposed scrambling, where a fall would be serious. Southeast-facing, so it takes the morning sun and clears of snow earlier in spring. The nearest named summit, Sengio Lorecche at 1,755 m, is 262 m away.
