West Elkhorn Foothills

A short, power-hike climb in Idaho. The hardest 500 metres average 19.9% and start 817 m in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. It faces south: warm in summer, and often clear of snow when the slopes around it are not. Most runners need 12 to 21 minutes. Its 2.5 TEP puts it in the easier half of the catalogue.
