Mt. Oxford Route
A power-hike climb in Canterbury. The hardest 500 metres average 27.9% and start 871 m in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. North-facing, so it stays in shade and is the cooler choice on a hot day. Most runners need 16 to 26 minutes. At 3.1 TEP it sits in the easier half of the catalogue. It is graded demanding mountain hiking: expect sections where you watch every step.
