02. Tsopu

02. Tsopu is a short, very steep climb above Verbier in Valais. Its 3.6 TEP puts it in the easier half of the catalogue. Its steepest 500 metres run at 21.3% and start 274 m in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. Most runners need 12 to 20 minutes. Graded mountain hiking: rougher ground where footing starts to matter. It faces north: the shady side, where snow stays longest.
