Whittier Ridge Trail

A short, very steep climb in Washington. The hardest 500 metres average 27.9% and come almost at once, before your legs have settled. Expect 12 to 20 minutes. At 4.3 TEP it sits around the middle of the catalogue. Northwest-facing, so it stays cool and holds snow late. It is graded alpine hiking, with exposed rock where you may need your hands.
