Pend Oreille Divide Trail
A short, power-hike climb in Idaho. The hardest 500 metres average 23.5% and start 465 m in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. Southwest-facing: it gets the afternoon heat and clears of snow early. Most runners need 9 to 16 minutes. At 2.1 TEP it sits in the easier half of the catalogue. Mostly on trail.
