Manzana Trail

A long, mostly runnable climb in California. The hardest 500 metres average 18.7% and start 4.4 km in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. West-facing: shaded in the morning, in the sun through the afternoon. Most runners need 54 to 90 minutes. At 2.1 TEP it sits in the easier half of the catalogue. It is graded demanding mountain hiking: expect sections where you watch every step.
