Bartram Trail
A long, mostly runnable climb in North Carolina. The hardest 500 metres average 17.3% and start 2.3 km in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. South-facing, so it is hot in summer and one of the first to clear of snow. Most runners need 40 to 67 minutes. At 2.9 TEP it sits in the easier half of the catalogue. On the SAC scale it is mountain hiking, with uneven ground that asks for some care. The nearest named summit, Scaly Mountain, is 869 m away.
