The hardest 500 metres average 51.5% and start 6.1 km in, so the worst of it lands when you are already committed. North-facing, so it holds shade and snow longer than the sunny side of the valley. At 39.0 TEP it is harder than almost every climb in the catalogue. It is graded demanding mountain hiking: expect sections where you watch every step.
