Sentier du Col de Bertol
A short, power-hike climb above Evolène in Valais. The hardest 500 metres average 23.5% and start 479 m in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. Facing southwest, it takes the afternoon heat and melts out early in the year. Most runners need 16 to 28 minutes. With 4.6 TEP it lands near the middle of the catalogue. Graded demanding alpine hiking: exposed scrambling where a slip has consequences.
