Piney Branch Trail

A long, mostly runnable climb in Virginia. The hardest 500 metres average 13.2% and start 3.1 km in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. It faces south and gets hot in summer, so an early start helps. Most runners need 48 to 80 minutes. Its 2.1 TEP puts it in the easier half of the catalogue. Mostly on trail.
