Goat Peak Trail is a short, very steep climb in Washington. At 5.5 TEP it sits around the middle of the catalogue. Its steepest 500 metres run at 25.1% and start 320 m in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. Most runners need 15 to 26 minutes. On the SAC scale it is mountain hiking, with uneven ground that asks for some care. North-facing, so it holds shade and snow longer than the sunny side of the valley.
