Powerline Pass Trail

A very steep climb above Anchorage in Alaska. The hardest 500 metres average 30.8% and come almost at once, before your legs have settled. Expect 26 to 43 minutes. At 14.0 TEP it is harder than 88% of the climbs in the catalogue. South-facing, so it bakes in summer: go early. The path is graded easy hiking: the effort is in your lungs, not your footing.
