Sädelegg-Walenalp (Walenpfad)

A power-hike climb above Engelberg in Obwalden. The hardest 500 metres average 17.7% and start 1.1 km in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. Facing southwest, it takes the afternoon heat and melts out early in the year. Most runners need 20 to 34 minutes. Its 3.4 TEP puts it in the easier half of the catalogue.
