Chemin de la Ferme Guichard

A long, mostly runnable climb above Cormaranche-en-Bugey in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. The hardest 500 metres average 13.8% and start 3.2 km in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. Facing northwest, it stays cool and keeps its snow late into spring. Most runners need 39 to 65 minutes. Its 2.2 TEP puts it in the easier half of the catalogue. Graded demanding mountain hiking, meaning footing matters more than fitness in places.
