Fred's Mountain Trail

A short, very steep climb in Wyoming. The hardest 500 metres average 24.4% and come almost at once, before your legs have settled. Expect 10 to 16 minutes. Its 3.4 TEP puts it in the easier half of the catalogue. It faces east: sun early, shade after lunch. Graded demanding mountain hiking, meaning footing matters more than fitness in places. The nearest named summit, Mary's Nipple at 3,031 m, is 799 m away.
