Pacific Crest Trail

This run-hike climb rises in Washington. Expect 17 to 29 minutes. The hardest 500 metres average 15.3% and start 1.7 km in, so the worst of it lands when you are already committed. North-facing, so it holds shade and snow longer than the sunny side of the valley. At 2.4 TEP it sits in the easier half of the catalogue. The path is graded easy hiking: the effort is in your lungs, not your footing.
