Route de Sorebois

A long, power-hike climb above Zinal in Valais. The hardest 500 metres average 18.9% and start 2.8 km in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. Southeast-facing, so it takes the morning sun and clears of snow earlier in spring. Most runners need 50 to 85 minutes. At 9.5 TEP it is harder than 78% of the climbs in the catalogue. The path is graded easy hiking: the effort is in your lungs, not your footing.
