Schrennenweg is a power-hike climb above Schwende-Rüte in Appenzell Innerrhoden. On the SAC scale it is mountain hiking, with uneven ground that asks for some care. Its steepest 500 metres run at 24.3% and come almost at once, before your legs have settled. At 6.0 TEP it sits around the middle of the catalogue. Expect 21 to 35 minutes. Northeast-facing: morning sun only, and snow lingers into spring.
