A short, power-hike climb above Oberstdorf in Bayern. The hardest 500 metres average 18.5% and start 341 m in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. Southwest-facing: it gets the afternoon heat and clears of snow early. Most runners need 12 to 20 minutes. At 2.1 TEP it sits in the easier half of the catalogue. It is graded alpine hiking, with exposed rock where you may need your hands.
