Vallon d'Isola

A power-hike climb above Champoléon in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. The hardest 500 metres average 24.6% and start 728 m in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. South-facing, so it is hot in summer and one of the first to clear of snow. Most runners need 20 to 34 minutes. At 5.5 TEP it sits around the middle of the catalogue. It is graded demanding mountain hiking: expect sections where you watch every step.
