Kanzel
This long, very steep climb rises above Stilfs - Stelvio in Trentino-Alto Adige. Expect 101 to 170 minutes. The hardest 500 metres average 42.2% and start 6.4 km in, so the worst of it lands when you are already committed. Facing southwest, it takes the afternoon heat and melts out early in the year. At 48.0 TEP it is harder than almost every climb in the catalogue. Graded demanding alpine hiking: exposed scrambling where a slip has consequences.
