Rappenlöcher

Rappenlöcher is a short, very steep climb above Leutasch in Tirol. Its 2.5 TEP puts it in the easier half of the catalogue. Its steepest 500 metres run at 21.5% and start 300 m in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. Most runners need 8 to 14 minutes. Graded as a hiking trail, so fitness matters more than footing. It faces north: the shady side, where snow stays longest. The nearest named summit, Katzenkopf at 1,378 m, is 265 m away.
