Chemin de La Roua

A long, power-hike climb above Evolène in Valais. The hardest 500 metres average 30.9% and start 4.5 km in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. South-facing, so it is hot in summer and one of the first to clear of snow. Most runners need 100 to 169 minutes. At 21.0 TEP it is harder than 95% of the climbs in the catalogue. On the SAC scale it is mountain hiking, with uneven ground that asks for some care.
