Ludwigsburger Grat

A short, very steep climb above Zaunhof in Tirol. The hardest 500 metres average 35.9% and come almost at once, before your legs have settled. Expect 20 to 34 minutes. At 11.0 TEP it is harder than 81% of the climbs in the catalogue. Southeast-facing, so it takes the morning sun and clears of snow earlier in spring. It is graded demanding alpine hiking: exposed scrambling, where a fall would be serious. The nearest named summit, Schafhimmel at 2,820 m, is 66 m away.
