A short, run-hike climb above Schwende in Appenzell Innerrhoden. The hardest 500 metres average 18.3% and come almost at once, before your legs have settled. Expect 13 to 22 minutes. At 2.1 TEP it sits in the easier half of the catalogue. North-facing, so it stays in shade and is the cooler choice on a hot day. On the SAC scale it is mountain hiking, with uneven ground that asks for some care.
