Verzasca S climb

A short, power-hike climb above Verzasca in Ticino. The hardest 500 metres average 20.2% and start 601 m in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. It faces south: warm in summer, and often clear of snow when the slopes around it are not. Most runners need 11 to 18 minutes. Its 2.5 TEP puts it in the easier half of the catalogue. Graded mountain hiking: rougher ground where footing starts to matter.
