Julierstrasse

A long, mostly runnable climb above Bivio in Graubünden. The hardest 500 metres average 15.5% and start 3.1 km in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. North-facing, so it holds shade and snow longer than the sunny side of the valley. Most runners need 48 to 80 minutes. At 3.0 TEP it sits in the easier half of the catalogue. On the SAC scale it is mountain hiking, with uneven ground that asks for some care. The nearest named summit, La Motta at 2,166 m, is 176 m away.
