Sarreyer S climb

A short, very steep climb above Sarreyer in Valais. The hardest 500 metres average 24.5% and come almost at once, before your legs have settled. Expect 10 to 16 minutes. Its 2.8 TEP puts it in the easier half of the catalogue. It faces south: warm in summer, and often clear of snow when the slopes around it are not. Graded mountain hiking: rougher ground where footing starts to matter. The nearest named summit, Tête des Vaux at 2,725 m, is 654 m away.
