Brendstrasse
A short, power-hike climb above Saas-Balen in Valais. The hardest 500 metres average 22.1% and start 820 m in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. South-facing, so it is hot in summer and one of the first to clear of snow. Most runners need 12 to 21 minutes. At 2.6 TEP it sits in the easier half of the catalogue. The path is graded easy hiking: the effort is in your lungs, not your footing.
