Gerschni-Trail

Gerschni-Trail is a short, very steep climb above Engelberg in Obwalden. At 2.2 TEP it sits in the easier half of the catalogue. The gradient is steady, with no stretch much steeper than the 18.5% average. Most runners need 7 to 12 minutes. The path is graded easy hiking: the effort is in your lungs, not your footing. Northeast-facing: morning sun only, and snow lingers into spring.
