Marcus Trail

A long, mostly runnable climb in Texas. The hardest 500 metres average 15.1% and start 2.3 km in, in the middle of the climb, so pace the first part. North-facing, so it holds shade and snow longer than the sunny side of the valley. Most runners need 40 to 67 minutes. At 2.1 TEP it sits in the easier half of the catalogue. On the SAC scale it is mountain hiking, with uneven ground that asks for some care.
